LIPSCOMB, Ala. (WBRC) – A former Lipscomb city manager has agreed to plead guilty in Federal Court to one count of wire fraud after she was accused of embezzling over $150,000 from the city.
Jacquelyn Yvette Robertson served as city manager for the Jefferson County city from 2020 until her employment was terminated in May 2021.
According to court records, as city manager, Robertson had control of the city’s bank accounts and debit cards. She reportedly used that access to steal substantial funds that she used on personal items…
