New details have been uncovered about Steven Whitehead, the man charged in a mass shooting in Pinson on Sunday, Oct. 19.
The Alabama National Guard confirms Whitehead, a member of the 168th Engineer Company since November 2021, received an involuntary separation characterized as a General Discharge under honorable conditions effective Sept. 8, 2025, just over a month before that shooting, after an incident of misconduct back in August.
