Former homicide detective announces bid for Jefferson County Sheriff

A retired homicide investigator featured on a popular true crime reality show is running for sheriff.

Chris Anderson, who worked 30 years at the Birmingham Police Department, is running for Jefferson County Sheriff, according to a news release from the campaign. Anderson is currently the chief of police at Talladega College.
