Birmingham police make 73 arrests in week-long crime crackdown

The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau has reported a significant enforcement effort during the week of Oct. 27 – Nov. 2, 2025, resulting in 73 arrests. This initiative is part of the department’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety through directed enforcement, collaborative policing efforts, and community engagement.

The Special Enforcement Division’s efforts led to 37 felony arrests and 36 misdemeanor arrests. Officers also seized nine firearms, including one stolen weapon, and conducted 131 traffic stops, issuing 116 citations. Additionally, 14 vehicles were impounded, with one stolen vehicle recovered.
