U.S. Steel To Invest $75M In Alabama Advanced Manufacturing Plant

United States Steel Corporation will invest $75 million to install a new Premium Thread Line at its Fairfield Tubular Operations in Fairfield, Alabama. The project will create 44 permanent jobs in Fairfield, 40 of which will be USW-represented positions. The Pittsburgh-based company’s investment in American-made manufacturing is part of a larger capital deployment strategy in partnership with Nippon Steel.
