The Birmingham Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to public safety through a series of strategic enforcement actions. During the week of Nov. 3-9, 2025, the department’s Special Enforcement Division made 51 arrests as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce crime and enhance the quality of life in Birmingham.
The enforcement statistics for the week reveal a focused approach to tackling crime. Of the 51 arrests, 28 were for felony charges, while 23 were for misdemeanors. Officers conducted 121 traffic stops, resulting in 271 citations, including 39 for speeding. Additionally, five vehicles were impounded, with one identified as stolen and subsequently recovered.
The division’s operations also led to the seizure of 14 firearms, although none were reported as stolen or altered. In terms of narcotics, significant quantities were confiscated, including 70.5 grams of methamphetamine, 4,831.11 grams of marijuana, and 30 grams of cocaine, among others…
