BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man who was charged with second-degree arson following a fire at Big Escape Room received an additional charge, according to court documents filed Monday.
Joshua Mitchell was charged with second-degree attempted arson for allegedly intentionally setting a fire that damaged Birmingham Tree House on Oct. 31. He was charged with second-degree arson for allegedly trying to start a fire at the Big Escape Room, which is a block from the site of the Cobb Lane fire.

Police confirmed Mitchell is also suspected of starting the fire on Cobb Lane. The blaze, which firefighters believe originated from a vacant home on the street, spread to two nearby apartment buildings and lasted throughout much of the day.
Between 75-100 fire personnel responded to the scene. No injuries were reported…
