BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A nonprofit health care center in Birmingham’s west end is expanding. Cahaba Medical Care West End cut the ribbon Wednesday morning on four new exam rooms, which will increase the number of patients they can treat each day.
Cahaba Medical Care expects the number of patients doctors and nurses can see at the west end campus to increase 26%.
“We recognize the need for expansion because of the number of patients that needed to be seen per day,” said Cahaba Medical Care CEO Dr. John Waits. “There’s only so many exam rooms, only so many providers that we can fit and house, so it just reaches an operational limit.”…
