BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Mt. Olive Road in north Jefferson County has been deemed completely impassable as storms have knocked down trees and power lines.
Strong storms moving across central Alabama Tuesday morning knocked down trees and power lines across the state, with more than 50,000 Alabama Power customers without power as of 6:30 a.m.
First responders with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and area fire departments in north Jefferson County are working to clear trees from Mt. Olive Road.
