BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Magic City tradition is continuing in 2025 as Regions Bank celebrates the return of Birmingham’s tallest Christmas display on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025.
Every year at sundown on the day after Thanksgiving, the Regions Center is transformed with Christmas trees, a massive wreath and a giant stocking illuminating the sides of the headquarters of Regions Financial Corp., a 30-story building located on 5th Avenue North and 20th Street North.
According to Regions spokesperson, Jeremy King, the installation of the display takes weeks and tests are conducted throughout November to ensure that the over 2,600 windows included are ready to go.
Ashley Foster, Issues Management and Media Relations Senior Partner at Regions, said, “You know, Christmas Vacation, right? When Clark Griswold has done up his whole house, he has family come outside and its drumroll please, and he does it and nothing happens. Well, we don’t want that to happen. So, we have to do testing’s, it’s normally around 3 or 4 in the morning and we always do that in November.”…
