Hoover police arrest man suspected in Thanksgiving car burglary

HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — A Homewood man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a car in Hoover on Thanksgiving morning.

According to the Hoover Police Department, officers were investigating around 6:30 a.m. Thursday a vehicle fire in the 500 block of Riverchase Parkway West. At the same time, police were dispatched to a report of a car burglary in progress on nearby Whippoorwill Drive.

Officers arrived in the area within a minute of being dispatched and established a perimeter around the area where Muhammad Ali Camara, 20, was last seen. Police pursued Camara on foot. During that pursuit, Camara allegedly damaged property at a residence.
