Shelby County man indicted on multiple charges in connection to Bibb County homicide

BIBB COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A man previously accused of assisting another man in murder has now been indicted on multiple charges, including capital murder for hire.

Oscar De Santiago Soto was reported missing in June 2025, cited as last being seen in Montevallo, driving his truck, a 1998 black Ford Ranger.

On July 4, a death investigation was launched after burned remains were found in Bibb County within a mile of where his truck was last seen. Soto was found buried underneath his burned pickup truck.
