IRONDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – WBRC is learning more from Irondale city leaders about when they could expect to see work begin on the city’s new Costco location.
The Irondale location will be only the sixth in Alabama, and is expected to create between 200 and 300 new jobs and generate between $6 million and $8 million per year in new sales tax revenue.
Signs of construction could be seen as early as January of 2026, however, Mayor James Stewart Jr. says it will likely be several months before the doors will open on Costco, and while he doesn’t expect any major delays on their timeline for the project, he says this will be no small feat…
