Birmingham’s Highland Park Golf Course was recently awarded the “Troon Golf Facility of the Year – East” at the 2025 Troon Global Leadership Conference held in early November at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ten Troon-affiliated facilities were recognized at the event for operational and guest ormember service excellence.
The course is the state’s oldest public golf course and has been named as No. 30 on GOLF Magazine’s list of the “30 Best Municipal Golf Courses in America.” The golf course property is owned by the City of Birmingham, while Highland Park Golf, LLC holds the long-term lease. The operation is managed by Troon.
“Congratulations to the team at Highland Park Golf Course on your well-deserved recognition,” said Troon Executive Vice President of Operations Matt Hurley. “Highland Park continues to be a proud pillar in the Birmingham community, thanks to the culture of service and hospitality the team has created. Your commitment to excellence sets a standard we are honored to celebrate within the Troon family.”…
