TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — An 8-year-old girl was treated and transported to Children’s of Alabama after her foot was injured during the Trussville Christmas Parade, according to Trussville Fire Chief Tim Shotts.
Shotts said the child sustained a minor injury to her foot. The injury was not considered serious, and no other injuries were reported.

Emergency responders evaluated the girl at the scene before transporting her to Children’s of Alabama as a precaution. Chief Shotts said the child was alert and that the injury was not life-threatening.
