Bessemer woman arrested in pistol-whipping of ex-boyfriend over ‘settlement money’

A Bessemer woman has been arrested in the kidnapping and pistol-whipping of her ex-boyfriend after police say she was upset that she didn’t get any of his “settlement money.”

Bria Teona Mines, 32, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The jail log lists two charges of conspiracy to commit murder/other crime, as well as first-degree robbery and first-degree kidnapping…
