BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man was fatally shot inside a northeast Birmingham apartment late Saturday night.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, officers were dispatched to a shots fired call at Monarch Ridge Apartments, which is on Gallant Drive. Officers later learned a person was shot. At the scene, police found the man lying unresponsive.
The BPD stated a preliminary investigation showed a party was being held at the apartment. The victim and a male suspect were in a fight with a separate man in the apartment.
