BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – The Birmingham Police Department is sharing that the case of a man being shot by his nephew has been reclassified as accidental by the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. The case was originally considered a homicide.
On Saturday night, Dec. 13, police say they were dispatched to an apartment in the 2900 block of Gallant Drive at Monarch Ridge Apartments. The original call was of shots fired.
According to police, the call was then updated to a person shot. Officers arrived and found 29-year-old Alejandro Albaran lying unresponsive inside the apartment…
