Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Interstate Crash in St. Clair County

A Watertown, Tennessee, woman was killed early Christmas morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 20 near Moody, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Troopers said the crash happened at approximately 4:46 a.m. near the 144-mile marker, less than one mile west of Moody in St. Clair County. Authorities identified the pedestrian as 51-year-old Tina M. Ottaway of Watertown. Investigators said Ottaway was in the roadway when she was struck by a 2008 Cadillac SRX driven by 43-year-old Christopher J. Freeman of Elmore. After the initial impact, the Cadillac left the roadway and collided with a concrete barrier. Ottaway was pronounced dead at the scene.
