BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Georgia Southern Eagles hope to make history in the JLAB Birmingham Bowl at Protective Stadium.
The Birmingham Bowl is less than 24 hours away. Georgia Southern will make its fourth straight Bowl appearance under head coach Clay Helton. The only thing missing is a bowl game win. Georgia Southern is 0-3 all-time in bowl games under Clay Helton.
“It’s been a great reward for our team,” Helton said. “A team that I thought really fought hard in the month of November to earn their opportunity to play in this great game against a really good opponent in App State.
