This marks a 13.9-cent drop from a month ago and a 21.3-cent decrease compared to the same time last year. The cheapest station in Birmingham was priced at $2.16 per gallon yesterday, while the most expensive was $2.89 per gallon, a 73-cent difference. Across Alabama, the lowest price recorded was $2.09 per gallon, and the highest was $3.39 per gallon, a $1.30 difference.
Nationally, the average price of gasoline has fallen by 4 cents per gallon in the last week, now averaging $2.75 per gallon.
