A Henagar teen has died from complications of flu, making this the second death of a young person in a week. A Hueytown 11-year-old also passed away from complications of flu.
The announcement about Noah “Smo” Smothers in Pisgah was made by the New Home Baptist Church. In their post on Facebook, they said he passed away early this morning at TC Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga from complications related to influenza. His father confirmed the information.
