Pleasant Grove police warn against celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve

PLEASANT GROVE, Ala. (WBRC) – Pleasant Grove police are warning residents against celebratory gunfire as people prepare to ring in the new year tonight.

Law enforcement is encouraging people to celebrate without gunfire at midnight, saying doing so puts lives at risk.

Last year in Pleasant Grove, a stray bullet from celebratory gunfire hit a man’s car and missed him by just feet. Police were able to make an arrest in that case, but normally they are not able to find who fired the shots…
