HOOVER – A Hoover City Councilor recently received reimbursement for legal fees that he incurred during a heated case after seeking out those that were not normally provided by the city.
During a regularly scheduled Hoover City Council meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, the council officially approved a resolution paying legal fees back to Councilor Steve McClinton after he obtained legal assistance outside of what was already offered to him as a city employee.
In 2023, a report was made by former City Administrator Allan Rice that an employee of the city of Hoover received an invitation from McClinton to meet him outside of work hours.
