The search for a new police chief in Tarrant is on hold after city council members voted to table a resolution that would have launched the process.
The resolution would have allowed the city to request a certified list of candidates from the Jefferson County Personnel Board. Instead, the council chose to delay the move during a heated meeting that drew public criticism.
