Man, infant injured after shots fired into vehicle in Tarrant

TARRANT, Ala. (WIAT) — A man and infant sustained non-life-threatening injuries after their vehicle was shot into on Highway 79 in Tarrant, according to Tarrant Police Chief Wendell Major.

Major stated that the incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 79 southbound. He said a red vehicle was reported to be seen driving away from the scene. The victims sustained minor injuries, and Major said it is unclear whether the injuries were caused by bullets or glass from the vehicle.
