BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — Social Security workers rallied outside the Birmingham Social Security office demanding congress to protect Social Security.
Protests were held across the country as Congress faces a looming deadline to pass a fully funded federal budget. Workers said uncertainty over funding and staffing cuts had left both employees and the public under growing strain.
