Jefferson County deputies investigating deadly shooting in Lipscomb

LIPSCOMB, Ala. (WBMA) — A 29-year-old man was killed in a shooting Sunday evening in Lipscomb, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the 6600 block of Avenue K around 6:44 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2026, to investigate a report of a person who had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.

Lipscomb Fire & Rescue transported the victim to Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, but he was pronounced dead before arriving at the hospital…
