A law firm has concluded its investigation of alleged misconduct of Birmingham’s former top economic developer and recommended that his employer, Prosper Portland, take no action against him, Oregon Live reported.
Cornell Wesley, who left Birmingham in July 2025 to take a similar job in Portland, was investigated there for a report of “inappropriate communications” with a staff member.
Wesley, a Birmingham native who held the title of director of the Department of Innovation and Economic Opportunity for the City of Birmingham from 2021 until July 2025, assumed the top post at Prosper Portland in August 2025…
