BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A Birmingham man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for illegally possessing a firearm, U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona announced.
Cordarius Terrell, 32, was sentenced to 180 months in prison after pleading guilty to one county of being a felon in possession of a firearm in May of 2025.

Birmingham police were attempting to locate Terrell on May 13, 2024, in connection with multiple active felony warrants, according to the plea agreement. Officers arrested him at a gas station on Graymont Avenue West, where he was found in possession of a pistol.
