Around 12,000 flights set to take off over the weekend have been canceled as a monster storm starts moving across much of the country, threatening to knock out power for days and snarl major roadways with dangerous ice.
We are not expecting ice or snow problems in our part of Alabama, but problems at other airports can affect flights throughout the region.
