BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Doctors at UAB are leading the Southeast in kidney transplant surgery.
Nearly two weeks ago, UAB performed the first robotic kidney transplant in the region. The doctors who performed the surgery said the robotic kidney transplant is something they’ve been working up to for a year and a half.
