MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WIAT) – The city of Mountain Brook will no longer stream its public meetings. The city says that will go into effect Feb. 9, which is the next council meeting.
According to Mountain Brook Mayor Graham Smith, there are two major reasons behind this decision.
“We had some credible and real security concerns due to manipulation, unfortunately in today’s day and age, of recorded video. That was the first thing,” Smith said. “The second was we looked at the viewership online, and we had less than two views on average, so we really did not have many people.”…
