BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Customers who trusted a downtown Birmingham shoe repair business with valuable and sentimental items say they are now left with silence, locked doors, and unanswered questions.
Quality Shoe Repair, a longtime presence in downtown Birmingham, appears to have closed without notice. Customers say the business vanished suddenly, leaving shoes, bags, and other personal belongings behind with no clear explanation of what happened or where the owner went.
Suebee Cardenas is among at least a dozen customers now searching for answers. She says she dropped off nearly $4,000 worth of luxury shoes at the business toward the end of December and expected a quick turnaround…
