The Episcopalians of Alabama now know who their next bishop will be.
The Rev. Richard T. Lawson III, dean of Saint John’s Cathedral in Denver, has been elected as the next bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama. Lawson was elected during a special convention held Saturday at Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham.
