All lanes on I-22 westbound past Exit 91 are still closed as emergency officials continue to work on the 18 wheeler crash in the area. The accident occurred at around 3 a.m. on the morning of Feb. 1, sending a huge plume of smoke into the air. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) estimated that the lanes would be clear by 11 a.m., but right now drivers are still advised to drive an alternate route if they’re going towards Cherry Ave in Forestdale.
