A 16-year-old has died following a shooting in Bessemer, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The victim was identified as Korderrian De’Vante Sims, Jr., 16, of Bessemer. The coroner said Sims sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault in the 700 block of 28th Terrace South.
