19 charged in Jefferson County drug trafficking conspiracy

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – 19 people have been charged after two related indictments in a drug trafficking conspiracy in Jefferson County were unsealed, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday.

According to the DOJ, all 19 defendants were charged with conspiracy with the intent to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl between February and December of 2025. Officials say the indictments also charge 15 of the defendants with at least one count of using a telephone to facilitate a drug-trafficking crime.
