Two Drake State students earn $20K scholarships at TMCF summit in Birmingham

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Two students from Drake State Community and Technical College have each been awarded $20,000 scholarships through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) to support their education and career development.

The scholarships were part of the TMCF Workforce Development Summit in Birmingham, which brings top-performing students from historically Black community colleges nationwide together for career workshops, networking, and exposure to industry leaders.

The awards were given in two phases. Each student initially received $10,000 through the Cal and Annette Johnson Scholarship, with an additional $10,000 granted after their selection to participate in the summit…
