Registration is now open for Cardio for the Coast, a 3K Zoo Run benefiting sea turtle conservation efforts along Alabama’s coast.
The event, organized by the Birmingham Chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK), will take place at 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, at the Birmingham Zoo, located at 2630 Cahaba Road. This marks the first time the run has been held at the zoo since 2023.
Cardio for the Coast is open to community members who want to run or walk, with the 3K course winding through both paved and unpaved paths around the zoo. Participants must register online and will receive a t-shirt and free admission to the Birmingham Zoo for the day…
