Skeletal remains found in 2004 identified as Birmingham man who vanished in 1988

A 21-year-old man who vanished from Birmingham 38 years ago has been identified as skeletal remains discovered 16 years after his disappearance.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the remains found in 2004 as Bryant Keith Bates.
