Did you know it’s officially called “Washington’s Birthday” to commemorate George Washington, the first U.S. president? Although Washington’s birthday was February 22, 1732, a bill was passed in 1968 to celebrate the third Monday in February.

All city, county, federal and state offices will be closed on Monday, February 16 to observe Presidents’ Day.
Garbage collection in many cities will not run. Check your local trash collection schedule for any holiday changes.
