BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) — An Alabama cold case has been solved after DNA testing identified human remains as a man who has been missing for 38 years.
The Jefferson County Coroner says the remains were identified as 21-year-old Bryant Keith Bates.
Officials say Bates was last seen alive Nov. 15, 1988, after he left his family home in North East Lake. After not returning home from a friend’s funeral, officials say his family reported him missing to the Birmingham Police Department…
