Authorities have identified a woman who died following a shooting in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said 20-year-old Shaneka Renee Hicks of Birmingham sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault in the 3100 block of 12th Avenue North.
The shooting was reported at 8:04 p.m. Hicks was transported to UAB-St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:51 p.m., according to officials…
