It’s about to get dangerously cheesy in the world of casual dining as two titans prepare to battle it out over skillets of hot fromage.
After Applebee’s released a new offering called O-M-Cheese Burger, a burger served over bubbling hot queso, TGI Fridays said hold my gouda and announced its own new offerings on the “Fondue-It” menu.
“The ‘Fondue-It’ menu is a $3 upgrade allowing guests to add a warm cheese pour to five select menu items,” according to a press release. “The five items arrive on a hot cast-iron skillet and include Loaded Potato Skins, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger or Big Queso Energy Burger with Poblano Queso Fondue, and the Truffle Mushroom Burger with Alfredo Fondue.”…
