JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – All of Jefferson County’s International Baccalaureate (IB) students will soon be under one roof.
The New Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School will open for students March 2. For the first time, students from both the Pleasant Grove campus (Grades 6-8) and the Irondale campus (Grades 9-12) will attend class in the same building.
Dr. Walter Gonsoulin, Superintendent of Jefferson County Schools
Students attended their last day of classes at the old campuses Feb. 20. They will participate in remote learning for the week of Feb. 23- 27. During that time, JEFCOED maintenance crews will move equipment and supplies from the old campuses to the new. The week will also give teachers a chance to organize their rooms before the students’ first day.
Families will get a chance to tour the new school March 1 during an open house…
