The most visible sign on the Birmingham skyline is about to bear a new message.
Since August of 2024, the giant billboard atop the 17-story Two North Twentieth building has featured Alabama A&M University. It bore the school’s logo and the slogan “Start Here. Go Anywhere.”
Within the next few weeks, the 179-by-26-foot sign — one of the largest billboards in the state — will change. Leased by the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau, it will feature the familiar slogan: “It’s Nice to Have You in Bham.”…
