‘Very blessed’: No injuries reported after storm damage in Trussville area

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WBMA) — A fast-moving storm knocked over trees, flipped a trailer, and caused scattered damage in Trussville, but officials say no one was hurt.

The damage is concentrated just off Highway 11 on Mary Taylor Road, behind Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, which was closed due to the storm. A sign posted on the door cited a failing system.

Nearby, a construction trailer was flipped upside down, with a portable toilet pinned underneath. Stairs and debris were scattered across the site. Across the road, a line of trees was uprooted, and there were additional reports of roof damage in the immediate area…
