BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — The Birmingham VA Health Care System has announced a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at supporting safe and effective patient care.
The projects are part of a nationwide $4.8 billion investment in fiscal year 2026 through the Veterans Health Administration’s Non-Recurring Maintenance program. The funding is designated to modernize, repair and improve Department of Veterans Affairs health care facilities across the country.
