An Avondale church bought the remaining land at the old Trinity Medical Center off Montclair Road on Friday with plans that include making the property its new home.
“We now own the entire site, representing over 25 acres with 1,200 parking spaces and plenty of open land to develop,” Redeemer Community Church said in a statement. “What began as a plan to purchase two buildings and a single parking deck has grown into an opportunity that is both more cost-effective and better suited for Redeemer’s desire to create a space for deep hospitality, joyful fellowship, and faithful evangelism.”
Redeemer announced its intention to buy the old hospital building, which also previously was home to the Montclair Baptist Medical Center, in the spring but has since expanded its plans and bought all the land that remained of the old campus.
